Lakshimi’s Philosophy
Lakshimi is the name of a goddess in India, the world’s largest tea-producing country. It is said that Lakshimi has four hands, each holding “justice”, “love”, “bliss”, and “wealth”, and she generously bestows these on people. In India, she is worshipped as the goddess of money.
Tea has many attractions. Not only its aroma and taste, but also the relaxing time it brings, the warm togetherness, and the small happiness that a cup of tea can bring.
For all tea lovers, we will provide fresh and delicious teas from tea-producing areas all over the world, develop original teas, and continuously deliver knowledge and information. From Kobe, we hope to spread an “Elegant Tea Style” and increase the number of days spent with smiles.

Premium Honey Tea Series
Let me introduce our flagship product, “Premium Honey Tea”. This tea is a very popular product that Lakshimi is proud of, and it was launched in 2011 as Lakshimi’s first tea bag. As a product delivered by a tea sommelier from a tea specialty shop, we have maximized the flavor of the tea leaves. We blend powdered multi-floral honey from Spain into the tea. The sweetness of the honey is so strong that there is no need to use sugar. The fact that it’s sweet and delicious but only 3kcal per cup is also very popular. Just one sip brings a feeling of happiness, a rich flavor. It’s a delicious tea, whether hot or iced, straight or as a milk tea.
The series includes “Premium Mint Tea with Honey”, “Premium Chamomile Tea with Honey”, “Premium Honey Tea – Honey Lemon Tea”, and “Premium Honey Tea – Honey Fruit Tea”.
Amazing Choco Malt
This is an original blend of Assam-based tea leaves and Spanish cocoa peel by Lakshimi. The strong-bodied tea with the sweet aroma of cocoa peel and vanilla, and the subtle aroma of malt flavor creates an adult atmosphere. Many people are surprised by its rich aroma. There is no sweetness like honey tea, so if you prefer sweet tea, you can adjust it with sugar. It can also be enjoyed with baked sweets, enjoying the “marriage” of flavors. Original Tea
What we aim for is not just to provide delicious tea. We aim to pack the personality of each tea, the climate and history of its production area, and the passion of the tea makers into each cup. That is the true value of Lakshimi’s original tea. With our solid knowledge and blending skills as tea sommeliers, and new ideas, we are always working on making new teas. While bringing out the unique flavor of each tea leaf, we create completely new flavors. That’s the fun of our blends, and at the same time, the best surprise for our customers.
Lakshimi’s Brand Story
Lakshimi started with a tea class that the representative, Yoko Toda, started at home. In 2005, “Lakshimi Tea Shop” opened in Kitano, Kobe. In 2007, it became the only “Ronnefeldt Tea Boutique in Japan, under a German brand that has been providing high-quality tea to luxury hotels and restaurants worldwide since 1823.
In 2008, we started to blend original tea. Initially, we made only a few blends, but as we learned about the tastes and preferences of our customers, we gradually increased the number of original blends.
In 2011, we developed our popular product, “Premium Honey Tea”. This tea was well-received by customers who enjoyed its sweet yet low-calorie content, making it a mainstay in our store.
In 2013, the online shop was launched. With our commitment to delivering the best tea experience to more people, we made our high-quality teas accessible to those who can’t visit our store in Kobe.
In 2018, to reach even more tea lovers, we established an English version of the online shop.
We continue our journey of discovering new blends and introducing the world to the “Elegant Tea Style” from Kobe. As the goddess Lakshimi bestows wealth, love, justice, and bliss upon people, we too strive to enrich people’s lives with our teas.
